The Wargaming Woodworker
About me
I'm a die-hard gamer and painter who has been playing table top miniature games for about fourteen years. I got my start with Warhammer 40k when I was a middle schooler, and I haven't looked back. Likewise, I started assembling, converting, and painting miniatures since that time. I've also played Warhammer Fantasy, Necromunda, Mordheim, Warmachine, Hordes, Pathfinder, and Dungeons and Dragons.
My interest in woodworking is a more recent development. I've always been motivated by hobbies, but I found that gaming was becoming more and more difficult as a result of a weak local meta, time constraints, and a decreased interest in the game. I took up woodworking after about a year of interest in it, and I've quickly fallen in love with the hobby. As a teacher, I really value learning, and every project offers me new opportunities to learn and explore.
My ultimate goal is for the woodworking hobby to sort of fund itself. I'm a recent father, and it is hard to justify taking money out of my family's budget to fund wargaming and woodworking, so I seek out projects that can be financially productive for me and will hopefully allow me the financial freedom to upgrade both my tools and my Circle Orboros army.
